Well, that's January done!
To be honest, I barely noticed this month, what with tax returns, finishing off last years Hypno group and starting a new group of Hypnotherapy & Coaching stars, and launching my signature program "Reinventing You!" Master Mind Group. Not to mention the mountain of personal domestic stuff that I have managed to plough through!
January came and went in a flash, but I still managed to stay aligned with my theme of surrender and stick to my new routine despite a million other things I didn't get done!
I spent yesterday reflecting on the month that's gone and setting intentions for the coming month. I find this an incredibly useful way of forcing myself to acknowledge all that I have actually accomplished, in both my personal and work life and give myself a pat on the back for getting through everything despite all of the life's little turns and twists!
Sometimes we just go through life, day after day, week after week and month after month and never take the time to sit down and reflect on all the things we have actually accomplished.
And many people actually find this difficult to do, and brush all their accomplishments under the carpet, without ever taking time to enjoy the feeling of accomplishment. No matter how big or small they may seem!
So how did January go for you?
Did you manage to achieve the things you set out to do this month?
Have you given yourself a pat on the back for what you did accomplish, or are you beating yourself up for what you perceived you didn't get done that you promised yourself you would do?
Find some time today, it doesn't need to be long, just take a few minutes to look back on your month and pat yourself on your back for everything you got through.
As for all the "stuff" you didn't get round to doing, remind yourself that it's ok to surrender and let go of beating yourself up for not meeting the expectations you set for yourself.
And this month, consider dropping expectations of what you can or can't accomplish in a day, a week or even a month and simply go about your day doing what you can when you can.
Would love to hear your how your January went, let me know in the comments below.
